Last Updated on: 22nd November 2023, 06:43 am

On Monday 13 November 2023, Humedics GmbH will be hosting a webinar to discuss the key aspects of the European guidelines for the preoperative measurement of liver function. The guidelines were published in June of this year, and the webinar will focus on the resulting significance for the use of the LiMAx test in daily practice, as well as discussing applications of the LiMAx test in hepatology.

The webinar will be chaired by Martin Stockmann, with Johan Lock discussing the key points of the E-AHPBA-ESSO-ESSR guidelines and Martin Stockmann discussing the LiMAx test in the E-AHPBA-ESSO-ESSR guidelines and recommendations for day-to-day practice. Guido Gerken will be discussing the use of the LiMAx test in hepatology, with study data, personal experience and billing tips.

The webinar will take place on 22.11.2023 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. CET and anyone wishing to attend can do so using the following link: Join LiMAx Webinar (EU Consensus Guideline).

LiMAx is a diagnostic breath test for the quantitative determination of the maximum enzymatic liver function in adults. The test is based on the metabolization of a non-radioactive and isotope labeled drug, 13C-Methacetin by the cytochrome-P450 (CYP1A2) enzyme. This represents an important milestone for the use of the LiMAx test and underlines its importance for the safety of patients and surgeons.

Dr. Ralf Kohnen, of Humedics GmbH, commented: “We are delighted to be hosting this webinar to discuss the key aspects of the European guidelines for the preoperative measurement of liver function. This is an important milestone for the use of the LiMAx test and underlines its importance for the safety of patients and surgeons.”
