Croydon’s Legacy Youth Zone is pleased to announce the success of its annual Golf Day, which was held on Wednesday 24 June at The Addington Golf Course. Organized by Indy Chatwal, Managing Director of I See Apps and Trustee at Legacy Youth Zone, the event raised over £80,000 to support the organization’s efforts in providing opportunities and support to local young people.
The Golf Day brought together more than 100 golfers, local business leaders, supporters, and sponsors for a day of sport, networking, and fundraising. The headline sponsor for the event was Modern Health Group, with other sponsors including BootBuddy, Roasting Party, Bradley & Sons, Whisky Brokers Associates, Live Mauritius, Quilter, Namos Solutions, PMJ Risk Solutions, Sherrards, Roley’s, HotBoss, TW Drainage, and Mobsta.
Thanks to the generosity of the sponsors and partners, as well as a significant match-funding donation of £20,000 from Ryan Noades, Managing Director of The Addington Golf Club, the event was a great success. The funds raised will directly support Legacy Youth Zone’s mission to provide young people with access to opportunities, support, and affordable activities in a safe and inspiring environment.
Indy Chatwal expressed his gratitude to everyone who participated, sponsored, and donated, stating that the event was a testament to the strength of the community and the commitment of local businesses to investing in young people. Myke Catterall, Chief Executive of Legacy Youth Zone, also thanked everyone involved, highlighting the impact that the funds will have on the lives of young people in the community.
The success of the Golf Day is a reflection of the growing support for Legacy Youth Zone and its vision to provide a safe and positive space for young people in Croydon. The organization is dedicated to ensuring that every young person has access to somewhere safe to go, something positive to do, and someone trusted to talk to.
