Vendee Labs, a Jersey-based tech company, has recently launched their highly anticipated VendeeX Personal Shopping Agent. The application, available for download in 19 languages on macOS, aims to revolutionize the way people shop by putting the power back in the hands of the consumer.
The company takes pride in their unique approach, which they call “buyer-sovereign.” This means that the AI agent works solely for the shopper and is not influenced by advertising or paid placements. With the VendeeX Personal Shopping Agent, these concerns are addressed by giving control back to the shopper and keeping their data on their own device.
The application is free to use and does not require an account or subscription. It operates as a single desktop application, with versions for Windows and Linux coming soon. Vendee Labs earns through referral commission and a share of the card-processing fee, without adding any additional cost to the shopper.
One of the standout features of the VendeeX Personal Shopping Agent is its local-first approach. This means that the AI model and user data remain on the shopper’s device, and personal details are only shared with merchants when the shopper chooses to make a purchase.
Vendee Labs is based in Jersey, which has its own data-protection law modeled after the EU’s GDPR. The company also adheres to European-grade rights over any data they do keep, providing users with the right to access, correct, delete, and object to their data usage.
