This acquisition sees a family legacy passed from the founders, Jack and Karen Hobbs, to their daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Tim Blacknell, who currently lead MCS Cleaning & Maintenance LTD.

Founded in 1977, Gemclean LTD started as a small window cleaning business and evolved to offer comprehensive services including carpet, upholstery, and commercial office cleaning. The company’s growth was fueled by its exceptional commitment to customer satisfaction, a principle vividly captured in Jack Hobbs’ guiding mantra: “Take care of the edges, and the middle will look after itself.”

With Jack Hobbs retiring at 72, the future of Gemclean LTD is in familiar hands. Kelly grew up immersed in the family business, learning the intricacies of thorough cleaning and customer care from her parents.
