Berlin, 3 September 2026- PMG Presse-Monitor GmbH & Co. KG, a leading provider of media monitoring, press reviews, and media analysis in the German-speaking world, will see a change in leadership at the end of the year. Ingo Kästner, the current Managing Director, will be retiring after many successful years with the company. Natascha Thomas, currently the Deputy Managing Director, will take over as his successor, with Désirée von Domarus as the new Commercial Director.
During his tenure, Ingo Kästner played a crucial role in the growth and development of PMG. Under his leadership, new business areas were established, digital services were expanded, and the company’s position in the market was strengthened.
Reflecting on his time at PMG, Kästner stated, “The past few years at PMG have been marked by dedicated colleagues, trustworthy partnerships, and numerous successful developments. I am pleased to hand over the reins to Natascha Thomas, who has a deep understanding of the company, the market, and our customers, and has the experience to lead PMG into the future.”
Natascha Thomas has been working closely with Ingo Kästner for six years as Deputy Managing Director, overseeing sales, marketing, and business development. Together, they have successfully implemented the company’s growth strategy, resulting in consistent revenue growth through the expansion of the product portfolio, entry into new business areas, and the development of digital offerings.
Prior to joining PMG, Thomas held several senior positions in the media industry, including overseeing marketing and sales at AFP GmbH and SID Sport-Informations-Dienst. She also gained valuable experience in digital media and product development during her time at Axel Springer.
Olivera Kipcic, Head of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Archive and Rights Management and Chair of the Shareholders’ Representative Committee at PMG Presse-Monitor, praised Kästner’s contributions: “Ingo Kästner has been instrumental in driving PMG forward with his dedication, personal responsibility, entrepreneurial vision, and keen understanding of the media market. Looking towards the future, PMG has several key projects in the pipeline. One of them is the press portal for schools, which provides teachers and educational institutions with access to high-quality journalistic content for use in the classroom. Additionally, PMG is laying the groundwork for the legally compliant use of licensed media content in in-house AI applications with Media4AI. Both initiatives showcase the company’s commitment to innovation and exploring new applications for quality journalism.
