Entrepreneurial Mum Opens Stylish Nursery Boutique Inspired by Daughter

A mother’s love and her desire to create a unique shopping experience led Victoria Percy to quit her corporate job and establish an Instagrammable nursery boutique in Cheshire. Bump Nursery Boutique, located in Davenham Village, Northwich, offers parents-to-be a luxury destination to find all their newborn essentials.

The idea for Bump Nursery Boutique came to Victoria when she returned to her hometown of Rochdale to purchase baby items while pregnant. Alongside her partner and business partner, Matt, Victoria decided to turn their business idea into a reality. After taking over an existing business, Bump Nursery Boutique officially opened its doors on April 26th this year.

With a focus on providing exceptional customer service and honest advice, Victoria aims to make every customer’s visit to Bump Nursery Boutique a memorable occasion. The boutique offers a flexible appointment service, allowing customers to bring their loved ones along to explore the shop’s extensive range of prams, clothing, and gifting options.

Victoria, who has an 18-month-old daughter named Nancy and an eight-year-old stepson named Henry, believes in offering the very best customer experience. Bump Nursery Boutique provides premium services such as personalised 1:1 appointments, price matching, pram building and car seat fitting, and convenient deposit payment schemes. Visitors can even enjoy the local surroundings and indulge in a pub lunch at one of the charming country pubs nearby.

Having previously worked in HR at an accountancy firm, Victoria’s perspective changed after the birth of her daughter. Inspired to set an example for her daughter and empower women, she took the leap into entrepreneurship. Although new to running a business, Victoria’s dedication and passion drive her to succeed.

Bump Nursery Boutique carefully selects its range of products, offering well-loved brands such as Cybex, iCandy, egg, Oyster, BabyJogger, Doona, Snuz, The Little Green Sheep Co, CuddleCo, and Purflo. The boutique also showcases independent clothing and gifting brands like Another Fox, Neutrum Bear, and Rose & Guy. Victoria keeps a close eye on current trends, ensuring that the boutique offers both popular and gender-neutral options.

In addition to providing a stylish shopping experience, Bump Nursery Boutique plans to host events for parents and parents-to-be. These events include baby first aid courses, baby yoga classes, and a Parents To Be event where local businesses will showcase their products and services.

Victoria’s collaboration with ‘The Mum Club Hale’ and her participation in the event at Trafford Palazzo in the Trafford Centre further demonstrates her dedication to creating a supportive community for parents. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the boutique’s offerings, take advantage of exclusive event promotions, and participate in Q&A sessions and product demonstrations.

Since its opening just ten weeks ago, Bump Nursery Boutique has made remarkable progress, and Victoria sees this as only the beginning. The boutique is open from Wednesday to Sunday, providing a wide range of services and appointments.
