Chilterns Neuro Centre tees off with golfers taking action

The Chilterns Neuro Centre is celebrating the fantastic outcome of its annual Charity Golf Day, which took place on Wednesday 11 June, 2025 at the esteemed Stocks Golf Club in Aldbury. Showcasing the support and dedication of headline sponsor EIC Insurance, the event successfully raised over £14,000 to aid individuals impacted by MS, Parkinson’s, and strokes.

Despite recent poor weather conditions, the event saw over 80 golfers take to the course under clear skies. Players enjoyed a full day of friendly competition, followed by a barbecue, prize-giving ceremony, raffle, and silent auction. The funds raised from the event will enable the Centre to continue providing essential services such as physiotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, counselling, and leisure groups.

A standout performance on the course earned Adam Troughton the title of Individual Winner. The team competition was equally exhilarating, with the team “2 Gunners 2 Cannons” consisting of Aaron Colby, Carl Austen, Russell Aldridge, and James Lawton, emerging victorious thanks to their exceptional teamwork and impressive play throughout the day.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who showed their support,” said Hannah Prentice, Community Fundraising Manager at the Chilterns Neuro Centre. “The generosity of our golfers and sponsors enables us to make a real difference in the lives of those in our community who face daily challenges due to neurological conditions.”

Headline sponsor EIC Insurance played a significant role in the success of the day, both in terms of sponsorship and participation.

“We are honored to support the Chilterns Neuro Centre and their admirable work,” said Charlie Hicks, Managing Director at EIC Insurance. “The Golf Day was a fantastic event, full of positivity, goodwill, and community spirit. Raising over £14,000 is a remarkable achievement.”

The Centre extends its heartfelt thanks to all players, sponsors, donors, and volunteers who made the day possible.
