Australian manufacturer RFI Technology Solutions acquired by Tait Communications

Tait Communications, a leading provider of critical communications solutions, has announced the acquisition of RFI Technology Solutions, a renowned global leader in manufacturing and integrating high-performance coverage enhancement solutions for radio and cellular networks. The acquisition is aimed at strengthening Tait’s position as a top player in the industry, with a focus on providing reliable connectivity in complex and harsh environments.

With over four decades of experience, RFI brings a wealth of expertise in supporting LMR, public safety, and carrier markets globally. The company boasts a top-notch engineering and R&D team and operates three manufacturing facilities in Australia, in addition to providing extension services to its global customer base. RFI also has sales offices in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, operating in complementary sectors of the critical communications industry to those served by Tait.

RFI will continue to operate as a standalone enterprise, with Scott Magee remaining as Chief Executive Officer. Tait’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Dr Yoram Benit, welcomed the RFI team to the Tait group and highlighted the compatibility between the two companies. “Like Tait, RFI is a leader in its global sector. The companies complement each other with little overlap in what we do, and the markets we serve continue to grow and develop,” said Dr Benit.

He also emphasized the long-standing relationship between Tait and RFI, stating, “Tait has been a customer of RFI for many years, and we stand by the quality and sophistication of their technology. Our aim is for both companies to continue to excel in their respective areas and to explore opportunities for synergy and mutual support in the future.”

The acquisition of RFI aligns with Tait’s vision to provide industry-leading communications solutions for its critical communications customers worldwide. This news has been distributed by on Friday, 9 February 2024.
