Yorkshire-Made Furniture Powers Rose & Walker to More Than Double Revenue

Last Updated on: 25th July 2025, 01:01 pm

Rose & Walker, the Keighley-based luxury furniture brand, has posted an impressive 106% growth in revenue between 2023 and 2024. This success, the company says, stems from its strict dedication to 100% Yorkshire-based manufacturing and a growing trend towards sustainable, locally crafted interiors.

While many in the sector rely on mass imports and global supply chains, Rose & Walker takes a different route — crafting every piece entirely in-house using West Yorkshire resources. From striking glass and steel coffee tables to custom-made shelving, each product reflects the skill and tradition rooted in their local community.

“We believe in the exceptional quality and character that comes from genuine local craftsmanship,” says Lewis Walker, founder of the business. “By sourcing our materials from within West Yorkshire, we’re not only reducing our carbon footprint but also supporting the local economy and preserving traditional skills that have been part of this region’s heritage for generations.”

Their manufacturing ethos is embedded in every aspect of their production line. Metal table frames are made with steel from a local supplier, while their glass tops are cut and finished by artisans within the county. Even the oak used in their ranges is ethically sourced from UK-grown timber.

This regional focus has proven timely, as more consumers seek transparency and sustainability from brands. Rejecting fast furniture norms, Rose & Walker builds each item to endure, offering a lifetime guarantee as a hallmark of their confidence in the durability of their products.

“Firstly, and we believe most importantly, we make products that last and products that will stand the test of time,” Lewis added. “We don’t believe in a throwaway culture. Secondly, our products are made by us here in West Yorkshire, we source all our materials locally, most of which is recyclable. We also use recycled or recyclable packaging for the most part, and we’re looking to continually improve upon this.”

Their approach also allows for a level of personalisation and service that’s rarely found in mass production. Clients can request custom finishes and sizes, with faster turnaround times thanks to in-house control over every stage of manufacturing.

To showcase their work, Rose & Walker encourages the public to visit their workshop and showroom in Keighley, where they can see the craftsmanship in action and speak with the team about bespoke commissions.
