UK Christians Invited to Reflect as 84 Ethiopian Churches Join Together under the “Revealed Word”

181 Pastors Join Educational Programme Following “Revealed Word”

Across ten Ethiopian cities, eighty-four congregations have now changed their signboards to identify as Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. During a special ceremony, the pastors of these churches confirmed that they had joined Shincheonji, pledging themselves to proclaim the New Covenant Revelation and to unite in spreading the “revealed Word.”

This wave of change began when Pastor Asefa Angeto, President of the Misgana Denomination Association, attended the “2nd Global Invitation Revelation Seminar” in South Korea. On his return home, he visited more than a hundred churches across the country, holding seminars and bearing witness to what he had learned at the event. His mission has inspired a movement of renewal among Ethiopia’s Christian community.

The decision to change the churches’ signboards is regarded as more than a new identity; it represents their joint commitment to living by the Word. During the ceremony, the pastors collectively declared: “We resolve to preach this Word throughout Ethiopia, so that both pastors and believers may follow the truth and devote themselves more fervently to the ministry of the Word.”

Today, 181 Ethiopian pastors are taking part in Shincheonji’s educational programme, studying what they understand to be the fulfilment of biblical prophecy with the intention of sharing the message widely.

Insights for Christians and Communities in Britain

For Christians in the UK, the developments in Ethiopia serve as a reminder of the unifying and transformative influence of Scripture. They prompt reflection on personal commitment to the Word and the ways in which faith is expressed in daily practice.

For society at large, the story underscores how shared belief can strengthen community bonds, instil hope and motivate collective effort. In an era when divisions often dominate the news, this example points to how values and faith can help nurture a more united and compassionate Britain.
