Luxury stationery brand Takafa has unveiled its artisan-made notebook range to customers throughout the United Kingdom.
The name Takafa comes from the Arabic word meaning ‘culture’, and reflects inspiration drawn from Al-Andalus — historically a flourishing centre of art, learning, and cultural richness. Influenced by Mediterranean heritage, Takafa celebrates the craftsmanship and creativity shaped through centuries of cultural exchange.
Each notebook in the Takafa collection is handcrafted in Italy by specialist artisans using carefully selected materials. The signature “Originals” series is made from full-grain Bos Taurus leather and paired with premium ivory-hued Italian paper.
Presented in a distinctive drawer-style gift box with a linen dust bag and authenticity certificate, every notebook delivers a sense of luxury from the moment it is opened.
Takafa’s second range, Al-Andalus Garden, adopts soft nubuck leather with decorative fruit patterns to offer a more colourful and expressive alternative. Inspired by the Mediterranean landscape, the line embodies natural beauty, elegance, and sensory warmth.
Both collections feature a curved top edge, a subtle detail influenced by the rounded architectural forms typical of Al-Andalus design.
With its UK launch now underway, the brand aims to introduce a new level of craftsmanship and refinement to the luxury stationery market.
Abderrahim Baka, Co-founder of Takafa said: “We believe that in an era dominated by technology, there remains a unique value in the traditional art of note-taking. Writing by hand gives meaning and depth to our thoughts. We want our products to complement the digital tools we use daily, and we believe that the exceptional quality of our notebooks does exactly that.”
The collections are available now via takafa.co.uk, with pricing from £65 for the Original collection and £70 for the Al-Andalus Garden collection. Standard UK shipping is included, with express delivery also available.
Abderrahim Baka added: “Bringing Takafa to the UK is about offering not just a product, but an experience. We aim to give British consumers access to a very high level of craftsmanship that is rare to find in this field, and is designed to last.”
