Organisers of the Ceangail event, the Stirling Highland Games, are excited to announce that EventScotland has granted funding to support the event in 2025. This funding will go towards creating a dedicated food and drinks area, which will greatly enhance the overall experience for attendees and provide more opportunities for Scottish producers in the traders’ village.
The addition of this new area will showcase Scotland’s rich culinary heritage and diverse food and drink scene. Attendees can expect to see a variety of producers displaying their products, as they use high-quality Scottish ingredients to create innovative culinary delights.
Matt McGrandles, President of the Stirling Highland Games, stated, “We want our visitors to not only enjoy the traditional events at the Highland Games, but also to have the chance to sample a variety of Scottish produce. In addition to enjoying a festival-style atmosphere, attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with producers, learn about their craft, and appreciate the stories behind the products they create.
The Stirling Highland Games is a celebration of Scottish culture and heritage, featuring traditional events such as caber tossing, athletics, and Highland dancing. With the addition of food and drink producers, the Traders Village promises to be the largest showcase in the area, with over 60 traders for visitors to enjoy.
Producers from Scotland who are interested in showcasing their products to thousands of visitors are encouraged to submit an expression of interest form. The registration link can be found on the Stirling Highland Games website.
