Sokin Introduces MCP Connector, Enabling Customers’ AI to Expedite Payments in Minutes

London, September 15th, 2026: Sokin, a leading global financial platform, has announced the launch of their Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector. This new feature allows finance teams to seamlessly integrate AI tools into their financial operations, providing a more efficient and streamlined process.

The MCP connector connects Sokin’s licensed payment infrastructure directly to customers’ AI tools, allowing them to retrieve live balances, FX quotes, and payment status, as well as prepare currency exchanges and new beneficiary or payment instructions. Each instruction is presented to the customer for confirmation, and Sokin’s existing approval rules apply before settlement.

According to Vroon Modgill, founder and CEO of Sokin, “In today’s fast-paced world, having the advantage of owning the infrastructure is crucial. Our MCP gives our clients direct access to our licensed infrastructure, where they can conduct and orchestrate financial operations through AI.”

In addition to information retrieval, the MCP connector also allows for the creation of beneficiaries, currency exchanges, and payments. The customer’s AI tool assembles the instruction and presents the details, which are then confirmed by the customer. Any configured approval rules are also applied before execution.

During testing, Sokin’s MCP connector successfully handled 10 multi-currency invoices and treasury moves in under 10 minutes, saving accounts payable teams hours of manual work. Each payment still requires human confirmation before being processed on Sokin’s licensed rails.

This capability is made possible by Sokin’s licenses in 36 countries and their ability to move money to over 170 countries in more than 70 currencies through their own settlement infrastructure. This means that any prepared instruction settles on rails owned and operated by Sokin.

Pete Daunton, Chief Strategy Officer at Sokin, explains, “Unlike most MCPs currently available, which only provide a read-only function, our MCP connector allows for real work to be completed by the AI tools. This will save our customers a significant amount of time and is one of the most valuable features of our platform.”

Sokin’s customers can access the platform through their portal or by embedding it into their own platforms using APIs. The MCP connector adds a third option, allowing for seamless integration with compatible AI and Large Language Models, including Claude and ChatGPT.

Through the Sokin MCP connector, authorized users’ AI agents can:

– Prepare a beneficiary, currency exchange, or single payment and present the full instruction for customer confirmation
– Retrieve wallet balances and transaction activity for all corporate entities accessible by the authorized user
– Retrieve current FX quotes for exchanges between supported Sokin wallets
– Find existing beneficiaries or verify new beneficiary details for payment routing
– Provide the latest payment status and account details needed to fund a wallet
