Paris, France – OFFSCREEN, an annual contemporary art fair, is gearing up for its fifth edition set to take place from October 20 to 25, 2026. OFFSCREEN will present a diverse selection of works from twenty-nine artists represented by four French and twenty-five international galleries. The fair will feature a wide range of mediums and approaches to the image, with a special focus on this year’s guest of honor, Ana Mendieta (1948-1985).
Mendieta, known for her ephemeral art, will be showcased through six films in the central rotunda of the chapel. This presentation will complement the ongoing retrospective of her work at the Tate Modern in London. OFFSCREEN will also feature an installation by Ibrahim Mahama coinciding with his exhibition at the Fondation Cartier, and Steina Vasulka’s “Geomania” from 1986, presented in its largest format to date.
American artist Andrea Geyer will present a site-specific rendition of her 2019 installation “Feeding the Ghosts,” paying tribute to the legacy of Chantal Akerman. Aglaia Konrad will bring her architectural image making practice to the chapel with “CARRARA,” a film installation and series of photographs produced at the renowned marble quarries.
Other highlights include Ken Ohara’s monumental “GRAIN” portraits, a selection of digital works and sculptures by Waldemar Cordeiro, and a series of hand-painted photographs by Boris Mikhaïlov taken during his first trip outside the Soviet Union to Paris and Arles.
OFFSCREEN will also feature a series of discoveries, including Daria Koltsova’s “THE KIOSK,” an installation that brings together abstract postcards rendered in stained glass. The fair will also host the “Acquisitions and Discoveries” program, inviting the Pinault Collection and the Whitney Museum of American Art to present works from their collections that resonate with OFFSCREEN’s programming and the spirit of the venue.
The fair will also host the third edition of its curatorial residency, open to curators from major international institutions who work with still and moving images. Moderated by Valentine Umansky, Curator at the Tate Modern, and Chrissie Iles, Curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the residency will include workshops, discussions, and meetings with the artists of OFFSCREEN.
