Hokulani Limited has recently announced its acquisition of a minority stake in Baltic Publications Limited, a pioneering publisher known for She Kicks, the first dedicated women’s football magazine in England, and fcbusiness, a leading source for insights into the football industry. The terms of the acquisition have been kept confidential by mutual agreement.
According to Daniel Thomas Loitz, Principal Investor and Director of Hokulani Limited, the decision to invest in Baltic Publications was inspired by the recent European Championship victory of the Lionesses and comments made by England Manager Sarina Wiegman at 10 Downing Street. He stated, “England should be the global capital of women’s football and we are thrilled to partner with a pioneer like Andrew Mullen and Baltic Publications to bring our expertise, capital, and vision to modernize processes, drive digital innovation, and champion creativity in women’s football media.”
Andrew Mullen, Director and Majority Shareholder of Baltic Publications Limited, also expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating, “Having first launched a women’s football magazine in 1996, it’s fair to say we are committed to the cause of giving women’s football the media profile it deserves.” He added, “Baltic Publications is thrilled to partner with Hokulani Limited, a company known for its strategic investments and one which shares Baltic Publications’ vision of growth and innovation in the football space.”
This strategic partnership aims to elevate She Kicks and fcbusiness by leveraging Hokulani’s resources to enhance digital platforms and expand their reach in the rapidly growing women’s football and football business sectors. With the recent national launch of She Kicks Magazine and the longstanding success of fcbusiness, this partnership is expected to further solidify the publications’ position as leaders in their respective fields.
