LendingCrowd, a leading financial technology (fintech) platform, has recently been recognized as one of Scotland’s fastest growing businesses in the inaugural Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 list. This prestigious list features the top 50 innovative and rapidly expanding companies in Scotland.
This latest recognition comes on the heels of LendingCrowd’s previous success as Scotland’s fastest growing technology company in The Sunday Times 100 Tech 2026 list. Stuart Lunn, Founder and CEO of LendingCrowd, expressed his delight in being included in this list, stating that it is a testament to the company’s dedication to becoming the trusted source of affordable finance for SMEs across Britain.
To qualify for The Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 list, companies had to demonstrate an average annual revenue growth of at least 20% over the past two years. A panel of judges then selected the final 50 companies from a pool of eligible candidates.
In addition to this recent recognition, LendingCrowd has also been featured multiple times in the annual Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50 list, with its most recent inclusion in 2025 as Scotland’s fastest growing technology business. The company has also been ranked 28th in Deloitte’s EMEA Technology Fast 500, which recognizes the 500 fastest growing technology companies in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Based in Edinburgh, LendingCrowd was founded in 2014 and offers fast, affordable business loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Britain. The company combines modern technology with experienced credit decision making to support established businesses that may be underserved by traditional banks. Its loan products range from £75,000 to £500,000 with terms of up to 60 months, and all loans have fixed interest rates and allow for early repayment or overpayments without penalty.
Originally established as a peer-to-peer lending platform, LendingCrowd made the transition to institutional funding in 2022, allowing for increased lending capacity and support for a larger number of SMEs. Since its launch, the company has provided over £600 million in loans to British SMEs, highlighting its scale, resilience, and long-term commitment to the sector.
LendingCrowd’s success and recognition in the Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 list further solidifies its position as a leading fintech lender in the UK market.
