Sam Taylor Joins Mintz Group’s Expanding Disputes Practice as Chambers-ranked Professional

Mintz Group, a renowned risk advisory and investigations firm, made a significant announcement today. The company has welcomed Sam Taylor as a Partner in its Disputes practice. This new addition to the team further strengthens Mintz Group’s ability to assist organizations, governments, and law firms worldwide in uncovering fraud, tracing and recovering assets, and succeeding in arbitration and litigation cases.

Taylor brings with him 15 years of experience in conducting and managing complex investigations. He joins Mintz Group from S-RM, a corporate intelligence and cybersecurity firm, where he served as the head of the Corporate Intelligence practice in the Americas. There, he advised clients on high-stakes matters related to litigation, asset tracing, proxy fights, and customized transactional due diligence. Taylor has also held leadership positions at Kroll and Investigative Research Inc. He began his career in the financial services industry, working for Gilford Securities in New York and Dubai. With his fluency in Spanish, Taylor has led and supported operations in the United States, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He has been ranked by Chambers and Partners and Lexology for his expertise in Litigation Support and Asset Tracing.

In another development, Mintz Group also announced the appointment of Sherry Chang as a Managing Director in its Disputes practice. Similar to Taylor, Chang joins the firm from S-RM’s Corporate Intelligence practice. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner and has previously spent almost eight years in the Investigations and Disputes practice at K2 Integrity.

Co-CEO of Mintz Group, Chris Weil, commented on the latest developments, stating that the current complex and global economy presents immense opportunities, but at the same time, carries heightened risks of fraud and disputes. He believes that the addition of Taylor and Chang will further bolster the firm’s ability to help clients safeguard their business interests and reputations, achieve favorable outcomes in conflicts, and capitalize on judgments and awards. This expansion of Mintz Group’s Disputes practice follows the recent acquisition of Greyhawk Intelligence Group, a UK-based firm with multiple Chambers and Partners rankings in the categories of Litigation Support and Crisis & Risk Management.

Taylor also shared his thoughts on joining Mintz Group, stating that providing corporations with the necessary intelligence and insights in disputes today requires a unique combination of on-the-ground resources, geopolitical awareness, industry knowledge, and robust analytical capabilities. He believes that Mintz Group excels in integrating these elements to help clients tackle their most complex challenges, and he is thrilled to be a part of this industry-leading and multifaceted team.
