BeammWave AB has announced the successful completion of the initial bring-up of its RFFE2840 RF chip. This milestone was achieved in the company’s automated test lab in Lund on Thursday, September 17th, 2026.
Early testing has confirmed core functionality and major performance enhancements over previous iterations. The team is now moving into full characterization and has begun sampling key partners to support their ongoing builds and integration projects.
BeammWave’s CTO, Per-Olof Brandt, expressed his excitement about this achievement, stating, “Confirming the performance of our RF chip in the lab is a key milestone for us. While full characterization is ongoing, this bring-up proves our design trajectory with a chip outperforming previous versions. BeammWave AB specializes in communication solutions for frequencies over 24GHz and is currently focused on developing a solution for 5G and 6G. This solution takes the form of a radio chip with an antenna and associated algorithms. The company’s unique and patented approach with digital beamforming aims to deliver a solution with higher performance at a lower cost.
