Chilterns Neuro Centre Benefits from Successful Day of Golf, Raising £10,500

Berkhamsted Golf Club Raises £10,500 for Local Charity

Thursday 17 September, 2026 – The community of Berkhamsted Golf Club came together for a day of golf, fundraising and community spirit in support of the Chilterns Neuro Centre. The charity, based in Wendover, raised an incredible £10,500 from the event.

The charity golf day, held last Wednesday, welcomed golfers, supporters and local businesses to the stunning Berkhamsted Golf Club course. The funds raised will support individuals and families affected by neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson’s and strokes.

The competition on the course was fierce, with the team “Onwards and Upwards” consisting of Simon Barrett, Ian Booker, Mark Tompkins and Mark Tomlins, taking the team title. Mark Tomkins also secured the individual honor for winning individual golfer after an outstanding round.

The event was generously sponsored by Better Mobility, whose support was crucial in making the day a success.

Lee Warner, Director at Better Mobility, expressed his delight in supporting the Chilterns Neuro Centre’s charity golf day. “The work the Centre does is incredibly important, and it was wonderful to see so many people coming together to have fun while raising vital funds. We’re proud to have been involved and congratulate everyone who took part on a fantastic day.”

The funds raised will enable the Chilterns Neuro Centre to continue providing specialist support, therapy, and services to individuals and families living with neurological conditions in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas.

Hannah Fleming, Community and Events Manager at the Chilterns Neuro Centre, expressed her gratitude to everyone who made the charity golf day a success. “From our wonderful golfers and volunteers to our event sponsor, Better Mobility, every contribution made a real difference. Raising £10,500 is an incredible achievement and will help us continue providing vital services.”

The Chilterns Neuro Centre would like to thank Berkhamsted Golf Club, Better Mobility, all the golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who supported the event. Their contributions helped make it a memorable day and raised funds that will make a lasting difference to local families affected by neurological conditions.
