Bluewater, a global pioneer in high-performance water purification and drinks systems, is set to present its award-winning Café Station at the London Coffee Festival.
In partnership with British distributor HTG, the brand will be exhibiting at Booth HP30 during the event, which runs from 15th to 18th May at London’s Truman Brewery.
Having recently impressed audiences in Dubai and Houston, the Bluewater Café Station is now redefining the approach to specialty coffee. Its innovative design has earned it multiple industry accolades, including ‘Best New Product’ at the World of Coffee Expo in Dubai and a 2024 ‘Best Buy’ rating from The Caterer Magazine.
Tailored to meet the needs of speciality cafés, the unit allows baristas to finely adjust the mineral levels in their water, ensuring optimal flavour extraction unique to each coffee variety.
“The market response has been phenomenal,” said Dave Noble, Bluewater spokesperson. “We’re thrilled to introduce this innovation to the UK’s rapidly expanding specialty coffee scene.”
During the festival, a line-up of expert baristas – among them Douglas Conde, Day Trip, Tom Sixsmith, Batch Baby, and Mathew Harvey-Ingram – will demonstrate how the Café Station enhances brewing. Each will use Bluewater’s ultra-clean water paired with LiquidRock®, a patented mineral blend developed in Sweden.
LiquidRock® balances calcium and magnesium in a carefully designed ratio, promoting flavour clarity and aiding mineral absorption. It also plays a critical role in preventing scale build-up – a must for maintaining espresso machines. The system offers three custom mineral profiles: light, medium, and bold, giving baristas flexibility to match water to bean profiles.
The London Coffee Festival celebrates the country’s vibrant coffee culture, attracting over 22,000 attendees and showcasing 260+ brands, interactive events, and hands-on experiences for both trade and consumers.
With the UK coffee market valued at £15 billion and home to thousands of branded shops, it’s clear that high-quality coffee has gone mainstream. The British public now consumes approximately 98 million cups per day—a sign of growing appreciation for premium brews.
“Water makes up more than 98% of a cup of coffee, yet it’s often ignored as a key ingredient,” added Noble. “The Café Station gives baristas complete control to brew with the purest, best-balanced water possible.”
