RavePool Celebrates First Birthday with Mobile App, Exclusive EP, and New Look

Last Updated on: 5th August 2025, 06:24 am

To mark its first anniversary on 8 August, RavePool—the innovative music platform reshaping artist royalties—has unveiled a mobile app, a limited-edition EP, and a completely refreshed website.

Launched by Dave Curran, aka Bang Face regular DJ Dave Skywalker, RavePool emerged from his two-decade-long expertise in the music and tech industries. The platform’s mission: to create a truly fair digital space where artists are recognised and rewarded for their contributions.

Thanks to a £7,000 investment from the MK Tech Fund—a joint initiative by Milton Keynes Council and the Milton Keynes Investment Group—RavePool has evolved into a thriving creative community. Central to its success is its Fair Payment model, which ensures musicians are paid directly and proportionally for every track streamed or downloaded.

Over the past year, nearly 300 artists have joined the platform, contributing over 1,000 tracks to RavePool’s growing library. Subscriptions give users access to this entire catalogue, with all earnings transparently allocated to artists—even rolling over when unused—to maintain a consistent artist-first approach.

Earlier this year, one artist received £80 from a single subscriber—a clear indication of how RavePool’s payout model benefits creators more equitably.

“Hitting our first anniversary feels monumental,” said Dave Curran, RavePool’s founder. “It’s a testament to the sheer talent of our artists and the incredible community rallying behind fair music practices. From day one, we’ve been obsessed with building a sustainable world where artists are truly valued. These new launches aren’t just a celebration of our journey; they’re our promise to continuously enhance the experience for both artists and fans as we push forward.”

The new mobile app, alongside RavePool’s innovative AI track finder, aims to transform how DJs and fans discover music—making the platform more accessible, responsive, and intuitive. An exclusive EP featuring the winners of the RavePool remix competition adds to the celebrations, offering a showcase of the bold, diverse talent emerging from the platform’s creative network.

In addition, the redesigned website at www.ravepool.net introduces a streamlined and visually engaging interface to improve user navigation and experience.

RavePool extends an open invitation to DJs, electronic music fans, creators and the press to explore its growing community—championing fairness, innovation, and the future of artist-led platforms.
