Perranwell Station advances with full steam

“New Affordable Homes Underway in Perranwell Station Thanks to Coastline Housing”

Work has officially begun on a new housing development in the village of Perranwell Station, located between Truro and Falmouth. The project, spearheaded by social landlord Coastline Housing, is set to bring nine new affordable homes to the area.

Funding for the development has been secured through grants from both Homes England and Cornwall Council. The new homes, consisting of five for social rent and four for shared ownership, aim to provide much-needed affordable housing options for local residents.

At the official groundbreaking ceremony, Coastline Housing was joined by outgoing local councillor Peter Williams and newly elected councillor for the area, Ruth Gripper. Mr. Williams, who had been involved in the project from the beginning, expressed his excitement to see work finally beginning on the site. He was also pleased to pass the project on to Cllr Gripper, who will continue to support the development.

Cllr Gripper shared her enthusiasm for the project, stating that the new bungalows will provide a valuable housing option for local residents looking to downsize or purchase their first home in the area.

The development, led by local contractor EBC Partnerships, is expected to be completed by Spring of next year. Coastline Housing is looking forward to welcoming new residents to the community and hopes that they will be happy in their new homes for years to come.
