Bristol-based company Perceptual Robotics, a leader in wind turbine inspection and maintenance technology, announced today that it has secured over £4 million in funding this year. The funding includes investments from both new and existing shareholders, including Investing for Purpose, Loggerhead Ventures, and One Planet Capital, as well as support co-funded by Innovate UK, a division of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
This funding will allow Perceptual Robotics to expand its offerings to the wind industry, strengthen its presence in current and new markets, enhance its offshore capabilities, and continue scaling its products that are relied upon by customers every day.
The company is grateful for the continued support of Innovate UK in fostering innovation in the UK technology sector, as well as the backing of its shareholders and investors in reaching this milestone.
Since its last round of investment, Perceptual Robotics has expanded globally, growing its customer base in Europe, North America, Latin America, and beyond. Its technology is now being used for inspections in various environments, from the forests of northern Sweden to the Caribbean and some of the world’s largest wind turbines.

The company’s development has been driven by ongoing conversations with operators, service providers, and blade experts about the practical problems they face, whether that’s inspection speed, damage prioritization, or finding better ways to manage growing fleets. These conversations have led to developments such as autonomous inspection systems, AI-assisted damage detection, the Repair Now Ratio, and platform integrations released over recent years.
With this new funding, Perceptual Robotics aims to accelerate its progress, delivering more products, capabilities, and support for a greater number of turbines, while continuing to develop tools that assist the wind industry in keeping turbines generating power and blades in service for longer.
