The United Kingdom Men’s Sheds Association (UKMSA) has announced that ShedFest, its annual flagship event, will be held at Worcester University Arena on Thursday, July 10, 2025. The event will also include the organization’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).
ShedFest is the UKMSA’s premier exhibition and networking event, dedicated to celebrating the vibrant Men’s Sheds community. The event will feature live craft demonstrations, hands-on workshops, engaging seminars, and a dynamic exhibition hall showcasing resources, partner organizations, and community groups.
This year’s keynote address will be delivered by Stuart Robinson MBE, a Paralympic gold medalist in wheelchair rugby and two-time Invictus Games champion. Robinson, a former RAF gunner who lost both legs in an IED explosion in Afghanistan in 2013, has become a leading figure in international wheelchair rugby.
ShedFest will bring together Shedders, supporters, partners, and health and wellbeing organizations from all across the UK to celebrate the achievements and growing impact of the Men’s Sheds movement.
The event will feature exhibitors and live demonstrations throughout the day, providing practical advice, creative inspiration, and new resources for Sheds nationwide. Participants will include Chris Fisher, also known as “The Blind Woodturner,” Titefix, Carveco, Hobsons Brewery, Glo Force, Camerados, Greyhound Rescue Wales, Diageo, Alzheimers Society, St John’s Ambulance, Lions, and Arthritis Action. In addition, there will be pole lathe demonstrations and heritage specialists showcasing their skills in making coracles and chain mail.
As part of the event’s program, the UKMSA AGM will give members the opportunity to hear directly from the leadership team, vote on key matters, and help shape the future direction of the organization.
Rob Lloyd, chair of UKMSA trustees, expressed his excitement about the event and stated, “I’m looking forward to meeting Shedders from all across the UK and learning more about the incredible work happening in Sheds every day. ShedFest is a celebration of the community, camaraderie, and creativity that defines our movement.”
Lloyd also mentioned the organization’s national Armed Forces and Veterans Sheds Strategy, which includes a new Armed Forces Accreditation Scheme to better support veterans within existing Sheds and promote the creation of new ones. He added, “We are honored to have Stuart Robinson, a truly inspiring ex-serviceman and gold medalist, opening this year’s event.”
