PaperCut Secures Top Position for Third Consecutive Year in Global and U.S. Device and Print Management Market Shares for 2022

For the third consecutive year, PaperCut Software has been ranked as the number 1 vendor in Worldwide and U.S. Device and Print Management market shares by IDC, as revealed in their recently published report titled “IDC Worldwide and U.S. Device and Print Management Market Shares, 2022” (doc #US49326323, June 2023).

In an era marked by the transition to hybrid working models and the embrace of cloud-based solutions, PaperCut has further solidified its standing in the device and print management software market throughout 2022. The company maintained its top position as the leading vendor for the third consecutive year, a testament to its continued excellence in the industry.

Following a challenging period in 2021 that witnessed a decline in industry revenues, 2022 exhibited a modest recovery. As the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic gradually subsided, businesses worldwide began their return to traditional office setups. This shift resulted in growth for most vendors in 2022, leading to a 3.1% increase in global sales within the device and print management document solution software market compared to 2021. Amid this environment, PaperCut remained at the forefront, boasting $83.9 million in revenue and a commanding 12.9% market share.

IDC’s report highlighted PaperCut’s instrumental role in promoting the adoption of cloud solutions, offering both public and private cloud-compatible options. The introduction of their cloud-centric products, PaperCut Hive and PaperCut Pocket, in 2021 has continued to meet the evolving demands of customers, addressing cost-saving concerns, streamlining print accessibility, and minimising waste.

In response to the report, Steve Holmes, Head of Global Sales & Channels at PaperCut, expressed gratitude for maintaining the company’s position as the premier print management solution provider by market share for the third consecutive year. Holmes emphasised the shared commitment of PaperCut’s customers and partners to sustainability, along with the resilience of their product portfolio in the face of a heightened demand for secure, mobile, and cloud-ready print management solutions.

Holmes further stated, “The success of PaperCut is synonymous with the success of our channel partners. Our network of Authorised Solution Centers, OEM partnerships, and Resellers is attuned to customer needs and the evolving landscape of printing. Their dedication, expertise, and discipline have been instrumental in PaperCut’s sustained recognition as the market leader in terms of market share, as confirmed by IDC for three consecutive years. As we look to the future, we remain confident that PaperCut and our channel partners will continue thriving by keeping customers at the heart of our initiatives.”
