Norfolk Archaeological Trust (NAT) has officially launched its new Support Your Site scheme at Tasburgh Enclosure, one of its three heritage sites in Norfolk. The announcement was made during the trust’s Annual General Meeting in November.
The Support Your Site scheme aims to engage and involve local communities and heritage enthusiasts in the care and preservation of their beloved sites. The initiative will also be introduced at St Benet’s Abbey and Caistor Roman Town in the near future.
Members of the scheme will have the opportunity to support the site through their contributions, ensuring that it remains a special place for future generations to enjoy. In return, they will receive exclusive benefits such as a biannual newsletter, invitations to a summer social event, a car sticker, and recognition on NAT’s website. Long-term supporters will also be honored on-site with a commemorative plaque.
According to Natalie Butler, Director of Norfolk Archaeological Trust, Tasburgh Enclosure holds great historical significance and the trust is inviting people to actively participate in preserving its future while also developing a deeper connection with Norfolk’s heritage.
Individuals and organisations can become members of the scheme and their contributions will go towards essential conservation work, community engagement, and educational initiatives.
