MUSTO appoints Steve Jepson as Head of Sales

MUSTO is proud to announce the appointment of Steve Jepson as Head of Sales, shortly after the appointment of Simon Rosenberg as Head of Retail. Both are entirely new positions, and represent two of the brand’s pillars of growth for 2016.

Reporting to Simon Busby, Commercial Director for MUSTO, Jepson will focus on strategies that will strengthen and grow the brand’s core specialist distribution while building a complementary presence in premium department stores and multiple channels. Jepson will manage the established UK and Eire sales team and will take responsibility for all wholesale channels within the market.

On his new role, Steve Jepson said, “I am delighted to be joining MUSTO at this stage in the brand’s development. An iconic British brand which is at the forefront of technical development, MUSTO has an excellent distribution network across sailing, equestrian and country sectors, and a strong team in place which I am looking forward to working with as we continue to build customer support, brand awareness and enter the next step of MUSTO’s drive towards becoming a truly great British brand.”

Jepson brings a wealth of relevant experience from various sales leadership roles, including Head of Sales for Hunter Boot, where he executed strategies that saw the brand become established beyond its traditional country channel and distributed via the most respected retailers in the market.

Prior to this, Jepson held several senior roles with well-known footwear and sports brands, including Fred Perry, where he was responsible for executing the distribution strategy that saw a heritage British brand re-establish itself both as a credible sports brand, and as an iconic lifestyle brand.

Simon Busby, Commercial Director of MUSTO said, “We are delighted to welcome Steve on board. His previous experience, knowledge and connections in our industry and beyond, along with a history of evolving and growing core channel traditional distribution, whilst expanding brand reach by adding new complementary distribution, will certainly add to a strong existing team as we seek to deliver our strategic pillars of growth for the UK and Eire.”
