Luminar Neo’s fall update introduces Skylum’s latest features and platform ecosystem

Skylum, a prominent leader in photo editing software, has recently announced the release of the fall update for its award-winning program, Luminar Neo. This update, available on Thursday, November 27th, 2025, aims to improve the user experience by introducing new features and enhancing existing ones.

One of the key features of this update is the Luminar Neo Ecosystem, which provides a seamless editing experience across all of the user’s devices. This means that photos and adjustments can easily be transferred from mobile to desktop, allowing creatives to capture on the go and refine their work later. As part of this connected workflow, the Ecosystem also introduces Spaces, a built-in feature that enables users to publish and share curated web galleries with clients and communities, without the need for a website. Spaces is available to Subscribers, Ecosystem Pass owners, and 2025/2026 Upgrade Pass owners.

For users who have both Luminar Mobile and Luminar Neo on the same account, the update also allows for cross-device editing. However, standalone Luminar Neo does not support this functionality.

In addition to these features, the update also includes a new professional-grade Restoration tool that can repair cracks, stains, discoloration, and fading in old photos. The upcoming AI Assistant, which will offer real-time editing guidance, will be released at a later date. Both Restoration and the AI Assistant (upon release) are included in the Ecosystem Pass, 2025/2026 Upgrade Pass, Cross-device Perpetual, and Max Perpetual options, and are also available to Subscribers.

Furthermore, all users will receive a free upgrade called Light Depth, which replaces Relight AI and provides enhanced control over light and exposure. This includes the ability to manipulate virtual light sources in 3D space.

For existing customers, the full connected experience can be unlocked with the €69 Ecosystem Pass. New customers have the option to choose between the Cross-device Perpetual (€109) or Max Perpetual (€129) options. The 2025/2026 Upgrade Pass (€49) adds Restoration, Spaces, and the upcoming AI Assistant, and also grants access to the 2026 Spring Update for both Ecosystem Pass and Upgrade Pass owners.
