International Animal Rescue (IAR) is excited to announce the launch of their global virtual challenge, the Rainforest Run 2025, set to take place on Sunday, September 28th, 2025. This event aims to raise awareness and funds for the protection of rainforests and the wildlife that calls them home.
According to Jeanette, a representative from IAR, the Rainforest Run 2025 is the perfect opportunity for individuals to start their running journey. Participants have the option to run, jog, or walk 5km, and the added motivation of raising money for a good cause can help them stay on track.
Last year’s event was a tremendous success, with hundreds of participants from around the world joining in and raising crucial funds. This year, the movement is gaining even more momentum, with over 100 runners already registered and more joining each day. So far, this year’s participants have raised an impressive £2,180, planted 436 trees, and are well on their way to reaching their fundraising goal.
Leading the charge for Team Orangutan this year is The Kid Conservationist, whose passion and dedication to environmental causes inspire young people everywhere to take action. In addition, wellness entrepreneur Valerie Orsoni (@valerieorsoni) will be joining forces with a team of ten women to take on the Rainforest Run while trekking to Kilimanjaro’s base camp. This incredible feat serves as a powerful symbol of commitment, courage, and solidarity for the planet.
