Independent app studio MonkeyDoDev has recently announced the launch of their latest app, Bushy Bingo, designed specifically for young children aged 3 to 7. The family-friendly nature exploration app aims to encourage families to spend more time outdoors, spotting wildlife and learning about the animals they encounter.
Bushy Bingo, now available on both the App Store and Google Play, offers a fun and interactive bingo-style game that transforms wildlife spotting into a thrilling adventure. Children can mark off animals as they spot them, earning points based on the rarity of each creature. The app features 18 different animals to discover, with elusive species such as the kingfisher scoring higher than more common sightings like ducks or squirrels.
Each animal in the app is accompanied by a colourful fact sheet, providing engaging and child-friendly information about its diet, habitat, and fun facts. The facts are delivered by one of three lively characters: Otto the Scientist, Belle the Fairy, and Cowboy Gus. The app has been carefully designed to promote outdoor play, reduce screen time, and foster children’s natural curiosity about the world.
Bushy Bingo is free to play and includes 18 animals, Otto the Scientist’s character voice, and three fun facts per animal. For even more wildlife fun, an optional premium upgrade is available, which doubles the number of animals, triples the available characters, and includes over 300 fun facts. It also introduces seasonal artwork, reflecting the changing parkland and countryside scenery throughout the year.
