Harvest Today Scales Up Hydroponic Grow Wall to Meet Growing Global Food Demands

Last Updated on: 5th September 2025, 10:48 am

Harvest Today, led by founder Rick Langille and supported by Harvest Today EU entrepreneurs Mark and Michelle Emmott, has announced the next stage in its journey with the expansion of its revolutionary hydroponic vertical grow wall. The updated system has been designed to serve everyone — from household growers seeking fresh produce to commercial farms aiming for high-yield, sustainable solutions.

The enhanced Indoor Grow Wall is built for efficiency, durability, and scalability, making it a powerful innovation for anyone committed to sustainable food production. It represents a significant step forward in addressing urgent global issues such as food security and environmental impact.

Harvest Today EU began when Rick shared his early designs for the “Harvest Wall” with his friend Mark, sparking the vision that would eventually evolve into a mission-driven business. Recognising the potential of hydroponic technology to transform agriculture and accessibility, Mark and the team focused on creating a system that supports communities worldwide.

“Launching any new company and working toward success are part and parcel of any start-up,” said Mark. “But I knew the potential was there, and that with the right attitude and teamwork, this could change the way families and communities think about food.”

Driven by customer feedback, the Harvest Today team redesigned the system to create a versatile, modular, and easy-to-maintain grow wall that is both affordable and leak-proof. Initially embraced by home growers, it empowered families to cultivate organic fruits and vegetables directly in their living spaces.

As commercial demand grew, the team scaled the technology to support large-scale agricultural projects without compromising its simplicity or efficiency. Farmers are now able to plant more crops per cubic metre while enjoying the flexibility to grow a wider range of produce, giving them a competitive edge in the future of farming.

Today, the Indoor Grow Wall has become a transformative solution for tackling food shortages, supporting sustainable farming practices, and enabling individuals and businesses alike to grow healthy produce wherever they are in the world.

“What started as a small idea has grown into something much bigger,” said Michelle. “The Harvest Wall isn’t just a product, it’s a movement. We’re taking actions to solve a global food security challenge, and this is only the beginning.”
