Age Concern Hampshire, a charity founded in 1985, is expanding its foot care services to meet the increasing demand from the community. In line with Foot Health and Mobility Awareness Month, the charity will be launching new clinics in North Hampshire, starting with Tadley and Farnborough, and plans to expand to additional locations in the future. This expansion aims to make essential foot health services more accessible to older residents in these areas.
According to Una Davey, Head of Commercial at Age Concern Hampshire, the charity has seen a steady rise in demand for its Foot Care services and is proud to be expanding to meet the needs of the community. The new clinics in North Hampshire will enable the charity to support more people in maintaining their independence and mobility as they age.
The clinics will offer important services such as toenail cutting and comprehensive foot health checks. These appointments will be available every six weeks and will be conducted by qualified practitioners who are experienced in addressing the foot care needs of older individuals. Regular foot care can prevent issues that may affect mobility, comfort, and overall wellbeing.
With the expansion of services across Hampshire, Age Concern Hampshire is reaching more communities and providing support to more individuals in leading healthy and active lives. Appointments for the Foot Care clinics can be booked by calling 01962 868545 or by visiting the charity’s website.
To ensure the smooth operation of the clinics, Age Concern Hampshire is seeking Volunteer Foot Care Receptionists to welcome and assist clients at various clinic locations. This crucial role involves providing a warm reception and assisting with light administrative tasks. Interested individuals can find out more or apply online through the charity’s website.
