Green Ventures Enters European Market – Additional Data Centers in the Works

Swiss data center provider Green has announced the start of its expansion into Germany. The company, known for its energy-efficient and high-availability data centers, has established a subsidiary called Green Datacenter Germany GmbH in the country.

Green is already a leading data center provider in Switzerland, with six data centers in four locations and three more under construction. With the growing demand for data centers due to advancements in AI and digitalization, Green is now turning its focus towards Europe.

The company has carried out evaluations for data center locations in the Frankfurt am Main area, aiming to provide energy-efficient and high-availability data center capacity for companies and cloud providers.

CEO of Green, Roger Süess, says that the expansion into Germany is a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy. With its expertise in sustainable data centers, Green is well-equipped to meet the increasing demand for powerful and energy-efficient infrastructure.

To lead its operations in Germany, Green has appointed Heiko Siats as the Managing Director of Green Datacenter Germany GmbH. With over 20 years of experience in developing and operating critical infrastructure, Siats brings valuable leadership skills and industry connections to his new role.

Siats emphasizes the importance of working with customers, partners, and the region to create lasting value. He further adds that developing and operating data centers is just the beginning, and Green’s focus is on creating long-term benefits for all stakeholders.

The expansion into Germany is just the beginning of Green’s plans for growth in Europe. The company aims to provide secure and energy-efficient data center capacities in strategic markets, enabling sustainable growth and digital innovation for cloud providers and businesses.

Green has been recognized for its excellence in the data center industry, receiving awards such as the prestigious M&O Stamp of Approval by the Uptime Institute and being named the Swiss market leader for data center and colocation services (ISG, 2020-2025).
