“Dance of Northern Lights to Illuminate the Opening of Denmark’s 2026 International Fireworks Competition on May 16th”

Hannover, Germany – The highly anticipated 34th season of the International Fireworks Competition is set to take place in 2026. This year’s theme, “Dance of Northern Lights”, will feature five teams from northern regions competing over five evenings between May and September. Inspired by the mesmerizing Polar Lights, these teams will transform the sky over Hanover into a stunning display of vibrant colors.

Along with the main event, there will be a supporting program featuring culinary offerings, picnic areas, live music, and fun activities for children. This will build anticipation for the fireworks display, which promises to be a memorable experience for all.

The competition will kick off on May 16, 2026, with Denmark’s Højen & Magic Fyrværkeri ApS. Other participating teams include Norway’s Pyroteknikk AS on May 30, Finland’s Suomen Pyroteknikka (SPT) on August 15, Scotland’s Fireworx Scotland Ltd on September 5, and Sweden’s Göteborgs FyrverkeriFabrik on September 19.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online at https://www.feuerwerk-hannover.de/en/ticketshop/. Prices are 28 euros for adults, 25 euros for concessions, and 75 euros for a family ticket (valid for two adults and two children aged 6 to 14). Additional children can be admitted for 12 euros each.

For those looking for a complete experience, special “experience packages” that include an overnight stay and admission are available at the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen.
