E-commerce logistics specialist Craner & Kirkman has officially opened the doors to its new headquarters at Soloman Park, Ilkeston, after reaching £500,000 in turnover in under three years. The move reflects the company’s impressive rise in the sector, under the guidance of founder Tom Singleton.
Having previously worked as an Account Director at ITG in Birmingham, Singleton stepped away from agency life to establish Craner & Kirkman as a passion project. It has since flourished into a full-service operation supporting independent sellers across leading online platforms such as Amazon, Etsy, eBay, Shopify, and TikTok Shop.
Scaling to Meet Demand
The new facility provides expanded operational space to accommodate increasing volumes and growing demand from domestic and EU-based clients. The company’s 24–48 hour dispatch times, strong customer service, and streamlined digital processes continue to attract sellers looking for a trusted logistics partner.
“We’ve built this business from the ground up — no outside funding, just good service and word of mouth,” said Singleton. “Moving into our new HQ gives us room to grow, but it also lets us keep raising the bar for e-commerce logistics.”
Taking Control with CK Logistics
Craner & Kirkman’s ability to deliver consistent, reliable service is bolstered by CK Logistics — its fully owned transport division. This internal capability allows them to maintain control over time-sensitive deliveries to Amazon Fulfilment Centres, a rare feature among prep centres.
“Most prep centres rely on third-party hauliers — we don’t,” Singleton added. “Our vans. Our drivers. Our timing. It means fewer delays, more control, and a better experience for our clients.”
