“Cocktail Napkin Collection Launch Drives 100% Sales Increase and Global Expansion for Piecework in 2025”

Piecework, the design-forward brand known for its stylish and storytelling approach to jigsaw puzzles, has announced a significant increase in gross merchandise sales for the year following the successful launch of its cocktail napkin collection earlier this year.

The new collection, which features a variety of matching and mixed sets of four napkins with gift-ready packaging, marks Piecework’s first major expansion beyond puzzles since its launch in 2019. The cocktail napkin line has quickly gained traction with popular retailers such as Nordstrom, Anthropologie, and Liberty London, as well as over 1,000 independent boutiques. Since its launch, the collection has been picked up by over 1,000 retail locations, bringing Piecework’s total store count to over 2,000 worldwide.

Co-founder of Piecework, Rachel Hochhauser, explains the inspiration behind the cocktail napkin collection, stating, “Bringing products to market that are colorful, whimsical, and a little quirky has always been a part of our story. The cocktail napkins add a touch of playfulness and design to everyday rituals, and the response has been incredible. It has shown us that people are looking for entertaining pieces that feel special without being too precious.”

In order to support its rapid growth, Piecework will be launching wholesale distribution in East Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand in the fourth quarter of 2025, with logistics operations in place to ensure timely and regional fulfillment. The brand will also be launching global direct-to-consumer shipping at the same time.

In August, Piecework unveiled its first line of decorative matchboxes, including a limited-run edition that is believed to be the longest match currently available on the market. The brand also previewed its expanded holiday assortment and upcoming entertaining products at Shoppe Object in New York.

Looking towards the future, Piecework has plans to launch additional new products in late summer 2025, with a significant expansion of its gift and lifestyle assortment scheduled for 2026.
