Iver Heath Drama Club Adds Relaxed Performance to 2026 Community Pantomime Lineup
On Saturday 3 January, 2026, Iver Heath Drama Club announced an exciting addition to their 2026 community pantomime, Cinderella. In addition to the five previously announced shows in early February, the club will now also be offering a Relaxed Performance. This special showing is designed to support families with younger children and audience members with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The performance will take place at the Iver Heath Village Hall, located near the border of South Buckinghamshire with Slough and Uxbridge in London. Iver Heath is also known as the home of the renowned Pinewood Studios.
Relaxed Performances offer a welcoming and inclusive environment with special adjustments such as gentler lighting, sound, and a more flexible attitude towards movement and noise. This creates a generally calmer atmosphere that is ideal for those who may benefit from a more laid-back theatre experience. To ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all attendees, the club has reduced the audience capacity and will have a ‘Meet the Cast’ introduction at the start of the show.
Matt Streuli, Co-Chair and Dame of Iver Heath Drama Club, expressed the club’s commitment to making theatre accessible to everyone in the community. “We want everyone in Iver Heath and the surrounding area to feel that live theatre is for them,” said Streuli.
The club’s cast and crew are all volunteers, and this relaxed performance is a testament to their dedication to inclusivity, particularly for families who may find the cost or environment of professional theatre challenging.
With over 70 years of entertaining the community, IHDC is a beloved local institution. The club performs at the Iver Heath Village Hall, which is also a registered charity. Director Kaia Barton hopes that this trial performance will demonstrate the demand for more accessible theatre, paving the way for future relaxed performances.
Tickets for all six shows, including the newly added Relaxed Performance, are now available at www.ticketsource.co.uk/ihdc. A family ticket for Cinderella’s panto adventure is only £32, making it a more affordable option compared to many professional pantomimes. The club is also offering a special ticket price for ‘Access Card’ holders for the additional show.
