Cambridge, UK – The CHERI Alliance, a global consortium dedicated to promoting and advancing the adoption of Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions (CHERI) technology, announced today that Siemens Digital Industries Software has joined the non-profit organization as a member. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the alliance’s mission to enhance cybersecurity and drive technological innovations in the digital landscape.
Under this collaboration, Siemens’ Electronic Design Automation segment will work with other leading organizations within the CHERI Alliance to promote and enable a new level of cybersecurity in the EDA industry. CHERI technology, developed through 15 years of pioneering research, offers a groundbreaking, hardware-enforced solution to prevent memory safety vulnerabilities, which are often the root of cyberattacks.
