“CHERI Alliance Gains Support from Siemens: A Collaborative Effort for Advanced Cybersecurity”

Cambridge, UK – The CHERI Alliance, a global consortium dedicated to promoting and advancing the adoption of Capability Hardware Enhanced RISC Instructions (CHERI) technology, announced today that Siemens Digital Industries Software has joined the non-profit organization as a member. Under this collaboration, Siemens’ Electronic Design Automation segment will work with other leading organizations within the CHERI Alliance to promote and enable a new level of cybersecurity in the EDA industry. CHERI technology, developed through 15 years of pioneering research, offers a groundbreaking, hardware-enforced solution to prevent memory safety vulnerabilities, which are often the root of cyberattacks.
