On a mission to revolutionize ecommerce operations through artificial intelligence, ChatBlu has just secured $500,000 in pre-seed funding to build the first AI Ecommerce Inventory Management Agent. The round was led by Matador VC, having recently invested in several YC X25 startups, as well as angel investors from AWS & Google.
ChatBlu was founded in December 2024 as part of the Genoa Entrepreneurship School 2024/25 cohort by a trio combining youth and experience: Kristian Lukauskis (20), Alexander Dillon (19), and Sairam Vangapally (32).
We live in an ecommerce-driven world, and inventory management remains one of the most critical yet challenging aspects of running an online retail business. According to industry data, inefficiencies in inventory management cost retailers $1.8T annually through overstocking and stockouts, with more than 30.7 million e-commerce stores struggling to balance optimal stock levels with fluctuating customer demand. ChatBlu addresses this challenge by offering an intelligent solution that leverages advanced AI to provide automated inventory optimization that adapts to market conditions in real-time.
After implementing ChatBlu’s solution, store owners on Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, among others, will be able to improve conversion rates by 20% via product listing optimization by just simply hooking up their store to the agent and it will take care of the rest.
Alexander Dillon and Kristian Lukauskis are now among the youngest founders in the history of Spain and worldwide to have raised a pre-seed round $500K or more, bringing over $300K generated from previous ventures within the E-Commerce industry and experience at institutions like Fortress Private Equity. Their technical leadership to build this comes from CTO Sairam Vangapally, former data engineer at Amazon and Shutterfly, who brings critical expertise in large-scale data systems and AI implementation.
Genoa Entrepreneurship School’s backing to the young founder is significant given the institution’s track record of success. Over 90% of its students have raised funding without pausing their university studies. The school has connected ChatBlu to top-tier mentors from Apple, Sequoia and Tesla, and bright talent then hired by the founding team.
ChatBlu’s team is composed of high-calibre professionals with experience at companies like Apple, Meta and Adidas. The funding will be used to accelerate product development and establish strategic partnerships within the ecommerce ecosystem.
“Having raised €1M at 23 while studying, I know how hard it is to build at a young age. We saw the spark and the right attitude in Lukauskis, and we’re proud to support him and those set to impact the world.” says Guglielmo Schenardi Founder of Genoa ES.
