Award-Winning New Forest Kitchen Company Celebrated for Quality Craftsmanship and Customer Focus

Pure Kitchens & Carpentry Ltd, a family-run firm based in the New Forest, has been awarded Kitchen Fitter of the Year 2025 by Business Awards UK — a major national recognition of the team’s dedication to expert installation and personalised service.

Established in March 2021 by Mike Wale and Amelie Pauquet, the business has quickly evolved from a modest local venture to a flourishing company known for beautiful, bespoke kitchens and interior carpentry.

“We started this business because we’re passionate about creating beautiful spaces that people truly enjoy living in,” said Mike, who trained at Bournemouth and Poole College and brings more than 20 years of carpentry experience. “It’s not just about fitting kitchens — it’s about transforming homes and lives with quality craftsmanship.”

Amelie, whose French roots influence her style, officially joined the business in 2024. With experience in painting, decorating, and interior design, she ensures every detail aligns with the client’s vision. “Now we’re able to focus on every element of a project together,” she said. “From initial consultation through to aftercare, we make sure each client receives a seamless, stress-free experience.”

Their rise hasn’t been without challenges. After the passing of Mike’s father — a master tradesman and mentor — Mike found it difficult to continue in general carpentry. Shifting his focus to kitchens gave him renewed energy. Meanwhile, the couple were balancing their own ventures, often working overtime and handling everything themselves. “It was hard,” said Mike. “But we were driven by the idea of building something better, something we could both be proud of.”

The decision to combine their talents paid off. In just a year, their turnover has jumped from £80,000 to £200,000, with a loyal and growing customer base and a steady flow of bespoke projects. Their standing in the industry is reinforced by their Guild of Master Craftsmen membership and positive reviews on Checkatrade.

Their hands-on approach, clear communication, and use of reliable subcontractors allow them to deliver consistently high-quality results — while keeping customer satisfaction at the centre.

Looking forward, Mike and Amelie are determined to keep their personal touch at the heart of the business as it continues to grow. “We want to be known as the go-to name for kitchen fitting in the New Forest and surrounding areas,” Amelie added. “Not just because of our work, but because of how we treat people.”

Their award win confirms what their clients already know — Pure Kitchens & Carpentry Ltd is building more than kitchens; they’re building trust, creativity, and community.
