GoCardless, a global bank payment company, has announced a new partnership with anvil, an all-in-one business management and billing platform for the telecom and IT sectors. The integration between the two companies will allow telecom operators and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to streamline their payment collection processes and account management.
The partnership aims to simplify the payment setup process for customers, starting at the point of order. With anvil’s billing system connected directly to the GoCardless payment network, customers can easily enter their bank details and authorize their Direct Debit within an electronic contract. This information is then passed on to GoCardless, which creates the customer and mandate, making future payments automatic and eliminating the need for re-keying into a separate portal.
Once a bill run is completed, users can submit a single request that sends collection instructions to GoCardless and marks the corresponding invoices as paid, all within the anvil platform. GoCardless utilizes its AI-powered tool, Success+, to automatically retry any failed payments. If a payment is unsuccessful, anvil is immediately notified so that businesses can have an accurate, real-time view of paid and outstanding bills without any manual tracking.
According to Tom Metcalfe, Director of Global Partnerships at GoCardless, the partnership aims to alleviate the administrative burden of managing complex billing cycles and manually chasing failed payments for telcos and MSPs. By integrating their bank payment network directly into anvil’s platform, businesses can secure their revenue faster, reduce errors, and provide their customers with a seamless payment experience.
James Shraga, Sales and Partnerships Director at anvil, adds that the company’s platform is designed to streamline all aspects of a telecom reseller’s business, including sales, CRM, operations, ticketing, billing, and rating. This partnership with GoCardless extends to the payment process, with setup and collection happening at the moment the customer signs their contract. Shraga emphasizes that this integration allows for a full cycle, from signed contract to collected cash, all within the anvil platform where businesses can easily manage their operations.
