/Alkagesta Achieves Milestone with First Truck-to-Vessel Marine Fuel Supply in Romania
– Completed delivery of over 50 metric tonnes of marine gasoil in Constanța
– Expands distribution capabilities in Romanian energy markets
– Strengthens position in European aviation and biofuels sectors
– Notable trading volumes reached at Singapore hub
Alkagesta, the international energy and commodity trading house based in Malta, has successfully executed its first truck-to-vessel marine fuel supply operation in Constanța, Romania. On October 2, 2026, two trucks delivered a total of 50.164 metric tonnes of marine gasoil, marking a significant enhancement of the company’s distribution capabilities in the Romanian energy market.
This operation demonstrates the commercial momentum that Alkagesta has cultivated throughout European energy markets in 2026. Earlier this year, the company gained access to the NATO Central Europe Pipeline System, initiating Jet A1 deliveries into the European aviation market during a period of acute supply pressure. Increased military usage of the pipeline has complicated civilian fuel distribution, making Alkagesta’s strategic move particularly timely. The company also completed substantial crude oil transactions, notably delivering approximately 1.07 million barrels to the Far East.
In the realm of sustainable fuels, Alkagesta secured a multi-year biofuel storage agreement at Pantank in Antwerp and a five-year feedstock offtake agreement for Used Cooking Oil, further solidifying its position within the European biofuels value chain. In Asia, the Singapore hub achieved remarkable monthly marine fuel trading volumes of around 250,000 metric tonnes in its first full year of operations, while the fertilizer desk effectively navigated a market affected by notable supply chain disruptions and heightened food security concerns in global agriculture.
The operation in Constanța enhances Alkagesta’s distribution capabilities in Romania, a key market that has become increasingly vital to the company’s initiatives in petroleum products and biofuels throughout 2026.
