AI Platform Revolutionizes Health Technology Development

Vamstar, a London-based AI company, has secured £900k funding from Innovate UK’s Sovereign AI programme. This will support a UK-owned AI platform aiding health technology developers in anticipating payer requirements and predicting launch outcomes before trial protocols are finalized.

Global pharmaceutical R&D spending exceeds £200 billion annually, with many late-stage trials failing commercially. Vamstar’s platform integrates clinical trial evidence, health-economic modeling, and market data, enabling developers to design better trials and gain market access faster.

“The industry spends years generating evidence and only learns at the end whether payers will accept it. We are reversing that order,” said Praful Mehta, CEO of Vamstar.

The new phase will expand coverage across therapeutic areas, add data sources, and operate as a cloud service. Dr. Richard Freeman, CTO, emphasized the platform’s transparency and reliability, highlighting its unique integration of clinical trials and market data.

Vamstar invites select organizations to participate in early deployment, with interest registration available at tim.farnham@vamstar.io.
