Unleashing the Power of Gen-AI in Insurance: Introducing a New Era at Inaugural Conference

On February 8th, 2024, industry leaders in the insurance sector are set to come together for the inaugural Generative-AI in Insurance Europe conference at the America Square Conference Centre in London. The event promises to unite senior executives and more than 20 keynote speakers from leading insurance companies, including Lloyd’s, AXA, Aviva, Zurich, Liberty, Generali, NFU Mutual, and Trygg.

Organized by Intelligent Insurer, the conference will explore the vast potential of generative artificial intelligence (Gen-AI) and address the challenges associated with its implementation and governance. Discussions will revolve around the use of Gen-AI within product design, underwriting, customer service, and claims, as well as its impact on customer expectations and risk assessment.

McKinsey estimates that Gen-AI could result in potential revenue opportunities for the insurance industry worth $1.1 trillion. The primary goals of the conference are to successfully integrate Gen-AI into the fabric of the insurance industry and to optimise customer communications. By leveraging Gen-AI, businesses can enhance the customer experience, streamline decision-making processes, and reduce operational costs.

Attendees will also address the regulatory landscape associated with Gen-AI, engage in discussions about ethical and legal concerns, and explore methods of improving data reliability and governance. Moreover, the event will shed light on the spectrum of Gen-AI applications, such as fraud detection, personalised products and services, and risk assessment.

The 20+ speakers and panellists, all experienced professionals, will share their personal experiences working on the frontline of the rapidly changing insurance landscape. Industry innovators, such as Liberty Specialty Markets’ Chief Digital Strategy Officer, Parul Kaul-Green, and Zurich’s Global Head of Property, Susan Fallon, will deliver keynote speeches.

Helen Raff, Director Event Portfolio at Intelligent Insurer, said: “This event is perfectly timed to show insurers how to capitalise on the trend that’s dominating the news, and transforming the way business is conducted. There’s a plethora of AI insurance events on the calendar, but this is the only forum specifically dedicated to Generative AI.”
