TensCare Offers Clinically Proven Muscle Stimulators to Help Millions with Bladder Weakness Globally

This World Continence Week, TensCare Ltd is raising awareness of bladder and bowel problems which affect more than 14 million people in the UK.

The Surrey-based business, best known for their market leading TENS and EMS devices for pain relief and muscle rehabilitation, as well as their maternity pain relief Mama TENS, are now looking to help those who silently suffer from bladder weakness.

Despite much progress that has been made into the research and treatment of incontinence, it remains a relatively common condition impacting an estimated 400 million people worldwide. It is generally a treatable ailment yet many people seem to be apprehensive to talk about this.

Neil Wright, Managing Director of TensCare, said: “We do this because we know the difference our products make to the quality of life to hundreds of thousands of users. We believe that the well-being of one individual can affect the health and the well-being of the people in that individual’s family and community.”

TensCare offers a range of pelvic floor exercisers designed for toning, pain relief and treatment of conditions such as urinary and faecal incontinence, premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. These exercisers can be discreetly used at home and do not require a prescription.

The exercisers use a clinically proven method of stimulating the pelvic floor muscles via a non-invasive probe or electrode pads. This current then passes into the nerve fibres controlling that part of the muscle. By performing these contractions regularly, the strength and tone of the muscles can be improved.

Those with urge incontinence can also benefit from the exercisers. The electrical stimulation is designed to soothe the bladder muscles rather than exercise the pelvic floor.

Incontinence is not a natural part of getting older and everyone can benefit from doing pelvic floor exercises. Whether you have had your baby vaginally or by caesarean, the pelvic floor muscles can become weak from pregnancy and can be strengthened with electrical stimulation from TensCare’s pelvic floor exercisers. Low levels of prolapse can be cured, and moderate levels can be reduced with the use of these exercisers.

The £1.8 billion cost for incontinence each year is set to rise with an ageing population and rising levels of obesity.

To raise awareness of this issue, TensCare is conducting a series of radio and TV interviews from the 19th to the 23rd of June – World Continence Week. It is an opportunity to highlight the issue and educate the public on the ways they can fight the condition.

The pelvic floor exercisers from TensCare are currently available on the market via www.tenscare.co.uk, Amazon and many other High Street and online retailers.
