TAL Makes Groundbreaking Acquisition, Focusing on Down-to-Earth Strategies

Telecom Acquisitions Ltd (TAL) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Earth Broadband, a renowned eco-friendly broadband provider in the UK. The acquisition includes Earth Broadband’s customer base and brand, which will now be managed under TAL’s Home Telecom brand.

TAL, a company with over 70,000 currently billing customers, is confident that it will be able to absorb Earth Broadband’s customer base without any additional costs. “Over the last few years, we have successfully acquired 13 company bases, onboarding and supporting them in a matter of weeks, which is a record we are proud of,” said TAL CEO Nigel Barnett.

Barnett also expressed his excitement about Earth Broadband’s eco-friendly philosophy and their efforts in planting approximately 100,000 trees across the world. “As part of the deal, we are also delighted to bring the Earth team into our group. This is a dynamic group of bright young people who will blend seamlessly with our team at Home Telecom,” he added.

Founded by 23-year-old Luke Chapman three years ago, Earth Broadband has made a significant impact in the industry by promoting eco-friendly practices and utilizing intelligent technology to manage their customer base efficiently. “One of the reasons I started Earth Broadband was to make a difference. Not only do our customers plant trees every month by having their broadband with us, but they are also creating jobs, protecting ecosystems, and being a massive part of mitigating climate change,” said Chapman.

Barnett assured Earth Broadband’s existing customers that their terms, conditions, and pricing will remain the same or may even be enhanced under TAL’s management. He also mentioned that Earth Broadband’s customers, who are mainly connected to the PXC network, will not experience any service disruption.

TAL has been relatively quiet on the acquisition front recently as they have been experiencing organic growth through their traditional marketing model. However, Barnett believes that the competitive market and shrinking margins have made it challenging for smaller companies to generate enough revenue for customer acquisitions. “That’s why we are back on the hunt for new broadband estates, hence the acquisition of Earth with its sizeable base,” he concluded.
