Katakala Community Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to providing a brighter future for orphans and underprivileged children in Uganda, has launched a significant fundraising campaign to transform an existing orphanage.
The foundation’s mission is to instill hope in young people within the region through comprehensive education programs, talent development in music, dance, and sports. As the number of orphans and vulnerable children continues to grow in the Mityana Municipality, the Katakala Community Foundation has established a GOFUNDME campaign (https://gofund.me/eca29493) to raise funds for renovating the orphanage’s old rooms and constructing a larger learning space and shelter to accommodate more orphans and underprivileged children in Africa.
A spokesperson from the Foundation highlighted the challenges faced by the current building, including leaking roofs that flood the beds of the 125 children when it rains. They emphasized the urgent need for more space to accommodate the existing children, let alone any additional ones. Every contribution, no matter how small, will have a significant impact on the success of the project.
