Simplified Smart Waste and Recycling Management Unveiled by Superfy with Seamless Integration

Last Updated on: 22nd November 2023, 02:42 am

Superfy, a leader in sustainable smart resource management solutions, has unveiled an innovative open integration platform for smart waste and recycling bins at the Smart City Expo. This groundbreaking development aims to simplify and enhance waste and recycling management in urban areas, responding to the growing demand for efficient and sustainable solutions.

The global smart waste collection technology market is on the rise, projected to reach USD 3.83 billion by 2029 with a CAGR of 10.30%[1]. The increase in adoption of these solutions is driven by the need for effective urban waste management, sustainability concerns, and cost reduction objectives.

As the market has expanded, numerous solution providers have introduced various technologies, ranging from QR codes and NFC to Bluetooth devices, fill-level sensors, solar-powered compactors, telematics, and workflow management software. However, the proliferation of these standalone solutions has often left city managers and operations staff dealing with a complex and fragmented landscape, lacking interoperability.

Superfy’s new software platform addresses this challenge by offering a unified solution for managing smart waste and recycling systems. This platform streamlines the entire process, enabling city managers to efficiently oversee all their bins and technologies in one integrated platform. This simplifies operations, improves performance, and contributes to a cleaner and more sustainable future for communities.

CEO Ronan Quinlan commented on the announcement, stating, “This marks a natural evolution of smart waste and recycling management sector. We are proud to introduce the first open platform for seamless integration for PEL Solar Compactors and other leading smart bin and fill level sensor providers worldwide, providing a more open and flexible solution for city, waste and recycling managers.”

To coincide with the platform’s launch, Superfy is offering a free trial, allowing city managers to integrate their existing infrastructure, including regular bins, smart bins, and smart assets onto the Superfy platform. This trial enables them to experience the platform’s benefits firsthand.

Ronan Quinlan emphasised the importance of flexibility, stating, “Some of our customers are frustrated by ‘vendor lock in’ and limited functionality of their smart bin and collections management software. Often the software is limited to handling that company’s products only and creates a burden for the end customer looking to adopt other technologies. At Superfy, we think it is great to be able to mix and match, and manage all your smart bin and regular bin collections, regardless of who the supplier is, on one screen and one app. And that’s what we’re launching today.”

The platform will be showcased at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona from November 7 to 9, at the PEL Waste Reduction Equipment Stand B175. For more information, visit www.superfy.com and follow Superfy’s journey on social media @superfyofficial.
