“Sedgemoor Telecom Enhances CCTV Remote Monitoring Reliability with KeySIM Fixed IP IoT SIM Cards”

On Wednesday 24 June, 2026, Sedgemoor Telecom Limited, a Somerset-based specialist in communications infrastructure, announced the successful deployment of multi-network Fixed IP IoT SIM cards from KeySIM to overcome connectivity challenges affecting remotely monitored CCTV systems.

Sedgemoor Telecom, known for its design, installation, and support of robust network, data, video, and voice solutions, serves a variety of important clients who require uninterrupted remote connectivity. During a recent deployment, the company identified an issue with an existing Fixed IP IoT SIM solution that was unable to reliably provide remote access to Hikvision CCTV systems. This posed a potential threat to service continuity as it prevented alarm receiving centers (ARCs) from remotely accessing and monitoring CCTV installations.

In light of the critical importance of reliable remote access in monitored security environments, Sedgemoor Telecom conducted a thorough market evaluation and proof-of-concept testing to identify a more resilient fixed IP SIM card. After extensive testing, the company selected KeySIM’s multi-network Fixed IP IoT SIM card solution.

The deployment now provides connectivity across all four major UK mobile networks – Vodafone, O2, EE, and Three – enabling resilient remote access to Hikvision CCTV systems. Additionally, the solution allows for manual network switching when necessary, providing further operational flexibility and business continuity.

KeySIM’s management team, with extensive experience in the monitored security sector, has previously deployed more than 10,000 Teltonika GH5200 lone worker devices before founding the company.

Joseph Foster, Managing Director of Sedgemoor Telecom, stated, “Maintaining exceptional service levels for our customers is central to everything we do. Following comprehensive evaluations and testing, we are delighted with the performance and resilience delivered by KeySIM’s Fixed IP IoT SIM solution. The deployment has enabled dependable remote access to our customers’ CCTV systems and provides the flexibility and reliability that our clients expect.”

Graham Robinson, Managing Director of KeySIM, added, “We are delighted to welcome Sedgemoor Telecom to the KeySIM portfolio. Joe and his team share our commitment to delivering high-quality, dependable solutions, and we look forward to supporting Sedgemoor and its customers for many years to come.”

As organizations increasingly rely on remotely monitored CCTV and connected security systems, resilient connectivity has become a critical requirement. The use of multi-network Fixed IP IoT SIM technology provides installers and monitoring providers with enhanced resilience, ensuring that security systems remain accessible even when network conditions change.
