Resistance and Rebellion Take Center Stage at 24:1900 Music Festival

Global Online Music Festival, 24:1900, Returns This December with a Focus on Resistance and Rebellion

London, UK – Music lovers around the world are gearing up for the highly-anticipated return of 24:1900, the innovative online music festival that spans the globe. Set to take place on the weekend of December 6-7, 2025, the festival will feature independent artists from all 24 time zones, showcasing their talents at 19:00 local time in their respective regions. This unique format unites the world in a truly global celebration of music.

Founded by British company 122 Music Management, 24:1900 aims to promote the democratic need for resistance and rebellion, both culturally and politically. Co-founder Mark explains, “Bringing together acts from around the world at a time of great polarization is a political act in itself – especially given our platforming of both Palestinian and Taiwanese artists.”

Mark goes on to highlight the challenges faced in finding a Palestinian act to play at the festival. “Before alkalsaat, we had another Palestinian artist who had to withdraw over fears that our association could cause issues at Israeli checkpoints. They feared that visits home to their families could be jeopardized, underscoring the harsh daily realities Palestinians face.”

In addition to promoting cultural and political resistance, the festival also sheds light on other battles faced by musicians. This includes the recent news that the former CEO of Spotify invested in an AI military defense company, leading to a growing number of mainstream artists removing their music from the platform in protest. 24:1900 also aims to address longstanding issues faced by independent artists, such as unfair compensation from streaming services and the ongoing crisis in live music with venue closures.

By providing a platform for independent artists to resist and challenge industry norms, 24:1900 allows them to reclaim their creative direction and reach a wider audience. The festival also offers a space for the wider music community to advertise their work for free after each set. What’s more, 24:1900 is committed to being accessible and environmentally sustainable, making it a festival for all to celebrate.

“If you want to support quality independent music and help artists resist and rebel, 24:1900 is a great place to start,” says Mark. “Because the fight is global.”
